Silverlake Village Apartments


 

Highland Property Construction, Inc. is soliciting bids from qualified Subcontractors for The Silverlake Village Apartments project located in Los Angeles, California.  The complex was constructed in 1972.  
There are a total of 88 units consisting of:
 
  • 21 Studios 
  • 53 One-bedrooms 
  • 14 Two-bedrooms
As well as a Office and Laundry room.
 
The units have dishwashers, 16 cf. 30" gas ranges and micro-hoods.
Covered parking (upper buildings are type 1/ 2 lower type 5)
Hardwired smoke detectors in halls
GFCI's in bathrooms and kitchens
 
CA28 WAGE RATE:  The Wage Rate that this project must use is the County of Los Angeles Residential Wage Rate.  Because these wage rates are subject to change often, we recommend that you check the current wage rates.  The current wage rates are on the Internet at http://www.wdol.gov/dba.aspx  once on this site enter the State: California, County: Los Angeles, Construction Type: Residential.  The WD Number will come up automatically as CA28 click the Search button, this will take you to another page where you should be able to find your trade and wage requirements. 
Federal Davis Bacon Wages should be included in your submitted bid.
 
PLANS:  The plans are dated September 26th 2012

SUBMISSION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

All bids must be submitted with the attached Bid Sheets provided by Highland Property Construction, Inc.  The following are requirements for all subcontractors working on the project:

  • Must be a licensed California Contractor in good active standing 
  • Must be licensed for the bid classification being bid
  • Minimum of One million dollar Liability Insurance policy
  • Minimum of One Million dollar Auto Insurance policy
  • Workers Compensation (required for all subcontractors, including sole contractors)

 Highland Property Construction, Inc. reserves the right to reject any bids or to waive minor irregularities.  Highland Property Construction, Inc. has no obligation to enter into an agreement with any party.

The Request for Bid package contains descriptions of the site and other matters that are deemed accurate.  However, all bidders are expected to investigate existing conditions and quantities them selves and bid accordingly.

 The cost of preparing any response to this Request for Bid shall be borne by the respondents and shall not be reimbursed by Highland Property
